Attention all philosophers: Universal good does, indeed, exist in this world. We can now move on as a society, anchored by this one purity. What could the universal good be? It’s none other than the sweet, succulent tamale. Think about it: There’s nothing about a tamale that is remotely bad. And if you need proof, head to the eighth annual Food City Tamale Festival. Tamale-makers from across the state will share their family recipes and spread unadulterated goodness to the world, with the award for best tamale being awarded on Sunday afternoon. Food sales benefit local charitable organizations.
