Work headaches, traffic snarls, unresolved personal issues. If you’re like us, you’ve got Yang coming out of your butt, so maybe it’s time we all took a long, cleansing breath and headed to Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art for Yin Friday.

SMoCA’s Yin event is, not shockingly, the opposite of its Yang. The latter is a hip affair for go-go people that features hot jazz, fine wine, and heavy networking. The soothing Yin is about organic grub and downward-facing dogs. And chair massages and clairvoyant readings. Local yogi Michael Warner will be on hand to discuss all-levels yoga, and conceptual artist Gregory Sale will facilitate a playful, participant-led “artistic meditation” involving a violinist and a "gaming device."
