The third Bike Gayng Night Ride has arrived and “It's absurdly queer!” according to the group’s Facebook page. “Splash a little glitter in your water bottle, braid those handlebar streamers, turn on your bike light, and let’s ride!”

Clearly, anything colorful and creative earns riders bonus points for this downtown Phoenix bar crawl that “puts the gay in gang,” as it visits local hotspots and gay bars starting at 8 p.m. The Saturday, September 15, ride begins at Sidebar, 1514 North Sevent Avenue, then it’s off to Kobalt, Crusin’ 7th (featuring Saturday Night Madness starring Mia Inez Adams), and another to-be-determined location for dancing.

Ride organizers stress that all traffic laws apply and pedalers must have lights and reflectors on those iron horses. And yes, DUI can be spelled BUI, too. So be careful while pedaling, partying and, most of all, having a gay ol’ time.
