Phoenicians with an eye for striking street art know La Muñeca's work well. The artist, whose nom de guerre translates to “the doll,” is known for both her mural and wheat paste works that often depict women. Strong, subtle, and intimate, her style is politically and personally motivated. And that's all the reason you should to squeeze in a trip to her first-ever gallery show at The Coe House. Titled “Visiones y Niños,” the exhibition explores the artist's cultural identity, borderlands background, and her passion for social justice. Muñeca's fine art works are on view at The Coe House Gallery, 365 North Fourth Avenue, through Sunday,August 31.
