A fire on Monday has closed the Matador Restaurant in downtown Phoenix.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports that the fire at the over 30-year-old Mexican eatery owned by Mike and Alexandra Anagnopoulos happened around 2:45 p.m. Monday afternoon, when the restaurant was closed, and was put out within minutes by the Phoenix Fire Department.

The Journal goes on to report that Scott McDonald, spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department, said that the restaurant suffered smoke and water damage, no one was hurt, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Regarding the incident, the Matador's Facebook page states, "The damage was not extensive but it will take us a while to clean up from all the water and smoke. Hopefully we can see you in a few days!"
