The breakfast spot with locations in Scottsdale and Arcadia is known for its inventive fare from local celebrity chef Aaron May. Now, they want to give your signature breakfast dish a spot on their menu for a year.
The winner will also take home a breakfast-related prize sure to boost the ego - and cholesterol.
From now through November 1, you can submit your original recipe at the Over Easy Arcadia location. Participants will automatically receive a free dozen Hickman's Family Farm eggs. The application process means cooking your dish, photographing it, writing a recipe and delivering the submission to the restaurant.
Dubbed the Beaten Egg Breakfast Challenge and sponsored by Hickman's Eggs, the challenge offers one winner a lifetime supply of bragging rights and a year's supply of Hickman's eggs. Which means a helluva lot of omelets.
New menus featuring the winner's dish and name will be printed on January 1, 2013.
Whether you love or hate Guy Fieri (and his Backstreet Boy bleached hairdo), chances are you know the local spots he's made famous with his TV show Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives. He went all out excited for Over Easy's "chicken-riffic" gravy and made-from-scratch fare. And we'd even consider getting dressed before lunchtime to chow on some of their waffle dogs. With inventive rifts on classic dishes the signature style at Over Easy, we expect full on breakfast ninja action to be able to take the prize.
