Visiting a shelter to feed the homeless on Thanksgiving Day has always been a way to help those in need, but for Richard Bock, owner of Giuseppe's on 28th, this year, he's bringing the needy to him.
Between noon and 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, St. Mary's Food Bank will transport 100 seniors, low-income families, and the homeless to Bock's restaurant for an Italian dinner.
"With so many people struggling to keep food on the table, I wanted to provide Thanksgiving meals to those who may not have a warm meal this year," says Bock.
Bock's generosity will assist First Watch Ministries, which is affiliated with St. Mary's Food Bank. Family and friends are helping with the dinner so that the Giuseppe's team can spend Thanksgiving with their families.
