This week: Chorizo Breakfast Burritos served up by Los Favoritos
¿Como se dice?: Huevos rancheros are hit or miss depending on the joint, and we've only found a couple places that do chilaquiles well, but the humble chorizo burrito is a solid bet at even the most questionable taco shop. It's Mexican comfort food at its finest, and if you grew up out here, you probably ate these burritos on the reg. So if you're all burrito-ed out, try those same chorizo breakfast burrito bits in a torta instead.
(sink your teeth into all the spicy details after the jump)
Make sure to get both the red and green sauce! Mixing both of these in every bite is the only way to go.
Bring a bit of México to your kitchen: Chorizo, potato, and egg burritos are just about the easiest thing you can make in your kitchen. Hit up Food City and ask the meat man at the counter for your chorizo. It's better than the prepackaged stuff, and will keep you from making the embarrassing mistake of thinking the plastic wrapper surrounding the chorizo was a sausage casing.
Quick tip: Make a whole batch of these burritos at once, wrap the leftovers in the freezer, and you've got quick microwaveable breakfast burritos all week long!
