For days when you really need a getaway, but have nowhere to go, Preston Ramsey has the answer.

Ramsey, star of yesterday's Chow Bella Behind the Bar profile, and bartender at Local Breeze has a drink that will transport you to the nearest chain of islands at first sip.

Inspired from his travels to tropical locales like Key West and the Caribbean, Ramsey's Cucumber Martini seems to capture an island breeze in a martini glass.

When temperatures in Phoenix skyrocket in a couple of months, this may just be one of the best antidotes around.

The Recipe:

¼ cucumber, sliced

1 packet Sugar in the Raw 1 ½ oz vodka 1 ½ oz gin 2 oz sour mix

How to make it:

Muddle the cucumber and sugar in a cocktail mixer. Add vodka, gin and sour mix. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice and enjoy.
