Charity Pie Night Friday, December 27

Christmas is over, but you still have a chance to get into the spirit of giving during the holiday season. From 7 to 9 p.m. Friday head to Practical Art for its monthly Charity Pie Night. A $5 donation will get you a slice of pie by Karen Olson of Vonciel's Pies. A $10 donation or $25 purchase gets you as many pie tastings as you'd like. All this month's donations, in addition of 10 percent of sales, during the event (it's not to late to give a late Christmas gift!) will be given to St. Mary's Food Bank. And to keep things green, you're invited to bring your own plate.

Wine Dinner Featuring Tattinger Friday, December 27

Pop the bubbly -- and not just any bubbly, but some of the best known in the world -- this Friday when Lon's at the Hermosa Inn hosts a wine-paired dinner featuring Taittinger. The French winery produces both champagne and sparkling wines, all of which are perfect as we head into the New Year. The evening will include a champagne reception and four-course dinner prepared by executive chef James Ducas and the LON's culinary team. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $125 a person. Call 602-955-7878.

Buffalo Wild Wings Tablegate Saturday, December 28

Whether you're going to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl or not, you can still get in on the game-day action at this giant tailgate. Located at Lot 3 across from Sun Devil Stadium the Buffalo Wild Wings Tablegate costs $25 a person and includes a plated meal. You'll also get to enjoy live music from Smash Mouth (What? They're still around?), marching bands, cheerleaders, pep rallies, interactive games, and more. Additional food and drinks also will be available for purchase. The tailgate takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets available online.

RnR Sports Bar Sunday, December 29

Believe it or not, football fans, Week 17 is already upon us. And for those of you whose teams aren't going to the playoffs, that means the end of another season. It's likely you'll want to go big and send off your team with a bang. We're still deciding between hitting the dog-friendly patio at Duke's or maybe indulging in a few make-your-own Bloody Marys at Arcadia Tavern. Then again, there's always those golden wings at Zipps and animals fries at RnR . . . Nogtail and Holiday Drinks

You can still taste the Most Spirited Cocktail of 2013, the Hog Nog at District American Kitchen's. We recently pitted the drink, which won the most votes in the Spirits of the Season cocktail contest, against the Nogtail at J&G Steakhouse. You can check out which restaurant won our eggnog knockout here. And for the complete list of restaurants, bars and drinks competition in the Spirit of the Season contest, visit the Downtown Phoenix website. All drinks are available through January 1.
