The last time we checked in with Jordan Keane, the food truck owner and chef was splitting with her business partner and getting ready to relaunch their T-Licious Taco food truck. That was in 2012, and since then, Keane has not only succeeded in launching her own J-Licious Taco food truck, but is now preparing to make the big jump from mobile to mortar.

Keane and her mother, Lynne R. Kean (she goes by "MaMaJ"), say they hope to open J-Licious Tasty Teazy Taqueria in the Roosevelt Row Arts District by next month. The restaurant will be located in the Artisan Villlage on the northwest corner of Seventh and Roosevelt streets.

The taquería will serve a daily chef's menu of Keane's Oaxaca-style food fused with classic French techniques.

The rotation will include items such as Tickle Me Tinga Chicken tacos with chicken tinga on a bed of J-Slaw, char-roasted chipotle salsa, pico de gallo, garlic aioli, and cotija cheese; Sleazy Slutty Scallops with jumbo scallops pan-seared in duck fat with a cilantro beurre blanc, topped with a warm roasted pistachio pepito fresca, chimichurri, winter beets and a citrus white truffle balsamic glacé; and Chacha Chacha Machaca with braised short-rib in a red wine veal demi, splashes of white and black truffle compote, chimichurri salsa verde, garlic aioli, and fresno pepper fresco.

Keane's signature Duck U taco will be available daily. The dish features duck confit on a bed of J-Slaw, splashed with fire and ice chutney, char-roasted salsa and finished with garnet winter beet.

MaMaJ says diners can expect the truck's signature hot pink and green color scheme to carry over to the brick-and-mortar location. And don't worry, they say, they'll also keep the truck up and running for now.

Keane got started in the mobile eatery game in 2011 when she launched Titillating T-Licious Tacos with former-business partner Cathy "Red" McGoldrick. The pair split up less than a year later, just before they were set to be filmed for Food Network's Eat St.

Keane hopes to have the J-Licious Tasty Teazy Taquería open in time for First Friday on Friday, February 7. Check out the J-Licious Facebook page for more information.
