71. Texas Po' Boy from Texas BBQ House

Though the local barbecue scene has certainly expanded since Texas BBQ House opened its doors in 2011, this south Phoenix spot is still one of the best in town. The no-frills restaurant comes courtesy of a duo of Texas boys, Mike Pitt and Doug Dieckmann, who wanted to bring their home state's dry rubbed, slow smoked meats to the Southwest. You may remember the short-lived Scottsdale outpost of Texas BBQ House, though it closed a mere two months after opening.
Luckily, the original location remains. And that's where you can still get your fix of moist brisket -- in fact, Texas BBQ House serves up three different kinds (lean, moist, or cutter's choice). There's also jalapeno sausages, pulled pork, beef ribs...the best way to get a taste of everything in one dish is probably by ordering the Texas Po' Boy, a huge meaty sandwich that will set you back $10.99.
Don't worry, the price tag is justified once you here what's in it. The sandwich fills you up with one-third pound of cutters choice brisket, one-third pound of pulled pork, and a half-link of sausage. Yeah, that's a full pound of barbecue between two pieces of fluffy white bread. Sauce it if you have to, though real Texans enjoy it sans.
