Want
to learn how to brew your very own beer? Well then this just happens to be your
lucky day. Luci's
Healthy Marketplace will be hosting a
two-day learn to brew summer cooking class. The first day of class starts
tomorrow at 4 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. -- that's a full four hours of
hands on training. Students will first learn the history of beer and brewing basics
with Steve Compton and Nathan Crocker, then students are split into small beer
brewing teams. Each team will brew one type of beer; IPA, chocolate maple
porter, peanut butter porter, or a seasonal fruit ale. After the beers have
chilled out for a week, students return to class August 28th for part two -
bottling and sampling. Each team will share their batch of beer with the rest
of the class and each student will walk away with six bottles of (hopefully)
delicious homebrewed beer. $59.99 per person. Seating is limited. Call
602-773-1339 to register.
