Valley chefs have come up with some pretty creative ways to incorporate two of our favorite sandwich staples into some sweet and savory dishes. We've got five awesome PB&J creations ranging from waffles to a decadent burger.

Check out who made our list and see the full peanut butter and jelly slideshow.

PB&J Pasty @ Cornish Pasty Co. -- Known for their gourmet Hot Pocket -style pastries filled with savory ingredients ranging from the traditional meat and potatoes to southwestern style Spicy Asiago Chicken, The Cornish Pasty Co. also makes a PB&J. Flaky pastry is wrapped around warm, creamy peanut butter, ripe bananas, and tart raspberry jam. Order it as a dessert and they'll pretty it up for you with loads of whipped cream and raspberry sauce.

PB & J Belgian Waffle @ Daily Dose -- Get a delicious head start on your day with a plate of Daily Dose's huge and fluffy Belgium waffles with a PB&J twist. The Scottsdale and Phoenix breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot serves up their thick waffles covered with ripe bananas, creamy peanut butter and a healthy dose of their housemade berry sauce. The perfect breakfast (or lunch -- they serve waffles 'til 4 p.m.) for the PB&J lover.

The Cash Money @The Main Ingredient -- Craft beer, classic hip-hop, and one of the best grown-up versions of a PB&J sandwich can be found at this little house-turned-restaurant in Phoenix's historic Coronado neighborhood. The Cash Money is made up of smooth, housemade cashew butter, a unique red pepper-cabernet jelly, and lots of sweet banana slices all sandwiched between two slices of toasted sourdough. Find a spot on their awesome patio and chow down on this classic sandwich with a nice milk stout from Left Hand Brewing.

"F" This PB & J Foie Gras Torchon @Praying Monk We're just going to come right out and say it -- Aaron May makes some of the best upscale stoner food in town. Not only does he have hand-dipped corn dogs, crispy potatoes covered in truffle oil and a killer burger on the menu of his cozy Scottsdale pub/restaurant, but he has also created an appetizer that combines the classic PB&J flavors with foie gras. Yep. Foie gras. Layers of housemade peanut butter mingle with blackberry jam and creamy foie gras in a little jam jar. The unique starter comes with several slices of toasted baguette so you can make tiny PB, J, & FG sandwiches!

PB & J @ Stax Burger Bistro -- Who knew that a burger place could make such an awesome PB&J sandwich? Stax is known for their amazing four-bite burgers filled with exotic ingredients like ostrich and buffalo but we also like to add Stax' PB&J Stax'wich to our slider mix. The classy Scottsdale burger joint slathers creamy peanut butter dotted with toasted almonds, tart raspberry jam, and loads of caramelized bananas on buttery grilled sourdough. It may be small, but it packs a fierce PB&J punch.
