But no food-focused reading would be complete without food, duh, so check out the three newly debuted menu items and two special drinks the Lounge at Crescent Ballroom has lined up for the night.

At tonight's event and through the weekend they're offering their three new menu items for just $7 a piece:
Lalo Burger - 8oz premium angus beef pattie made in house daily, double slice of cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onion and Anaheim pepper on a toasted artisan bun. Served with homemade seasoned potato chips and a chipotle mayo dipping sauce. (It's named after Arizona's Lalo Guerrero, the "father of Chicano music")
Barbacoa Torta - Braised beef, avocado, cotija cheese, cilantro, red onion, lettuce, tomato, refried beans and chile de arbol salsa with mayo. Served with housemade potato chips and and chipotle mayo.
Pacific Chicken Burrito - marinated chicken breast, jalepeno crema slaw, guacamole, rice and pico de gallo.
Wash any of it down with either of their two spicy cocktails created specifically for Fried.
For $5 they've got the FireFashion featuring Fireball whiskey, muddled with orange, cherry, mint and bitters and finished with simple syrup and water. Or for $6 the Penasco Breeze, made with Penasco tequila, a splash of lemoncello, lemon juice, muddled cucumbers and Serrano chile.
Fried will take place at the Lounge at Crescent Ballroom, tonight June 13 at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
