It's time to get all warm and glowy -- Las Noches de las Luminarias at Desert Botanical Gardens is just around the corner. Tickets go on sale to the public this weekend and you won't even have to worry about fighting your fellow nature nerd (in person); they're available for purchase online.

Las Noches de las Luminarias is a definite to-do during the holiday season in the Valley. The event runs for 21 nights and, in addition to luminaria-lit walkways through garden scenery, includes musical and foodie entertainment.

This year's event -- running December 2 through 30 -- promises 8,000 hand-lit luminarias and musical acts: The Bad Cactus Brass Band, Chris Burton Jacome Ensemble, The Dickens Carolers, The Hey Boys, Huney Brown, Ken Duncan, Mariachi Pasion, Scott Jeffers and Traveler, The Swingtips, Will Clipman, and of course, the Valley Handbell Choirs.

Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 23. For members, tickets are $20 and $10 for adults and children (3 to 12 years old, ages 2 and under are free).For the general public, tickets are $25 and $12.50 for adults and children. They can be purchased online or over the phone by calling 480-481-8188.
