Violet Brand of Revera Beauty on 610 E. Roosevelt Rd. showed us how to make a refreshingly fragrant spray using essential oils.
Violet's freestyle summer spritz (modify to your liking)
You could select scents that appeal to you, but keep in mind that certain fragrances evoke certain feelings. Brand suggests certain aromas for their soothing yet uplifting qualities.
Supplies: 100 ml dark glass bottle (amber or blue) purified water your selected essential oils (which Brand says you can find at Whole Foods and on Amazon)
Ingredients: 90-95 ml purified water 3 drops basil essential oil 4 drops cypress 5 drops chamomile 5 drops juniper 7 drops peppermint 7 drops lemon 12 drops grapefruit
Directions: 1. Add purified water to dark glass bottle. Essential oils are concentrated, so a 9:1 ratio of water to oil is a good starting point. 2. Add drops of essential oils to the water. 3. Close bottle, shake, and spray!
