Though this winter's dance calendar promises much in the way of tradition and holiday spirit, those looking for more cutting edge offerings have something to look forward to in the spring.
CONDER/dance founder Carley Conder has announced the artist lineup for the eighth annual Breaking Ground contemporary dance festival, slated for March 20 and 21.

Each year Conder reviews performance submissions from around the world and selects a handful to participate in her boundary-pushing movement festival, which incorporates film elements into its stage shows.
The 2015 lineup of Breaking Ground includes:

On December 15, Conder will announce the lineup of 20 participating Arizona-based artists who will perform in public spaces between 7:30 and 8 p.m. at Tempe Center for the Arts prior to the Breaking Ground stage shows.
The festival also will include five master classes open to the public and an after-party.
