By Sunday, you might be plopped on the couch and ankle-deep in nacho sauce and crappy beer. But if you're looking for a more, um, active approach to the year's biggest football event, Pink Fitness is here to help.

The Peoria club hosts its annual Super Pole Sunday "as way to give the ladies a chance to get together and have their own fun before the big game."

If you take anything away from the session (and have a pole conveniently located in the living room), class instructors encourage an attempt at your own halftime show. Because really, who's going to be waiting for a wardrobe malfunction from Madonna?

Event organizers write that this year's event will be the fitness club's largest, with vending booths to check out between class demos, which run from noon to 3 p.m..

Vendors include the pink ladies from Mary Kay, candle sets from Gold Canyon, snacks from Noelle's Nummies, live painting by Jalissa, Phoenix-based Burlesque University's Kitty Victorian, and scrapbooking and paper crafts -- because you just never know when a good pole session is going to spark your beauty, home decor, painting, dancing, and (especially) scrapbooking interests.

Super Pole Sunday is at Pink Fitness, 9822 W. Peoria Ave., and is free and open to the public. For more information, check out the event website.
