Each week Gem features one standout piece from a local shop. Whether it's a jacket, necklace, or handbag, it's on our have-to-have list.

What: This Missoni for Target open cardigan has alternating navy and teal zigzags. It's a great find from this limited collection because the knit showcases the design house's signature textile pattern.

Where: Tempe Marketplace's Target, in a rack of randoms. Randoms! It was shoved in between clearance items, and what looked like items other shoppers had taken to the fitting rooms but not wanted to buy.

Cost: $49.99 (now going for around $130 on Amazon)

Style this sweater after the jump.

Style It: Since the sweater should be the centerpiece of the ensemble, keep the rest of the outfit quiet. Below, we've styled it as a comfortable, on-the-go day look, pairing the long cardi with a lightweight modal and silk-blend tank top from Kain (making it airy and wearable during this unpredictabale summer-fall season), Ralph Lauren Black label jersey pants with leather trim, and Chloe's large Marcie tote. Micheal Kors mocs give a nod to Missoni's love of whimsy prints, while the pale blue Hermes notebook and the Alexander McQueen ring round out the quirky yet grounded look.
