Holiday BBQ & Winter Games 2 @ Daley Park
This cycle-centric shindig invites all bike riders to congregate for free beer and barbecue at Daley Park in Tempe from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, December 11. And since it's hosted by those crazy kids at T.B.A.G. and Bike Saviours, there will be some wild winter games like the tall and small bike jousts, the princess bike death race, the huffy toss, and grass polo. Obscura's Xmas Aglow Party @ Rips Ales and Cocktails
We've seen a bunch of fliers for this party...some say it's a holiday blow-out, others say it's a Tron-themed shindig. All we know is that it's gonna be big, people (so big that we covered it on Up on the Sun as well). You may have already read about this but we say it's well worth a slot on our Top 5 list. THREAD is only one of the best indie fashion events to ever hit town and, therefore, you'd be a real lame-o if you missed it. The thing kicks off Sunday, December 12, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Show up for shopping from over 100 indie designers, DJs, free massages, gift bags, and we even hear there's going to be an ugly sweater-themed photo booth.
