Since the Tour De Fat there's been
almost a weekly, two-pedaled bar crawl, festival, scavenger hunt or race -- all ending (or beginning) with a chug of some ice-cold, hoppy
goodness.
Find out what bike and beer event is next, after the jump.
This Wednesday, Crescent Crown Distributing brings you the latest bike and booze celebration: a four-stop bar crawl on two-wheels to some of Tempe's coolest bars. (Note: This isn't the crawl for the Bud Light (or anything light) fanatic.)
Crescent Crown Distributing is known for
promoting a variety of different microbrewery beverages and they are a
huge supporter of the local breweries including San Tan, Sun Up, and
Papago. This crawl features some of the microbrew finest.
Riders are encouraged to stop by boulders for some carbo-loading
and camaraderie beforehand, but the official ride start is at 6 p.m.
at Taste of Tops. All you need is a stable bike and a bit of extra
cash.
The ride starts there with $3 pints of anything Great Divide, an
award-winning Colorado brewery. The next stop is at Bison Witches for
$3 Big Sky Brews and then riders will roll on to Yucca Tap Hand for $3
pints of Left Hand, another Colorado Brewery that brings you a large
variety of crafts from IPAs to stouts.
The course comes to end at
Boulders on Broadway for $3 pints of Ska brews, and the celebration
continues with Boulders' weekly Wednesday beer special: Big beer for
pint price, tall for a small, or whatever you want to call it -- it's
more beer for your buck.
Roll out Wednesday, December 7 at 6 p.m. at Taste of Tops on 403 W. University in Tempe. For more information about Crescent Crown Distributing, click here. For venue information contact Taste
of Tops, Bison Witches, Yucca Tap Room, or Boulders on Broadway.
