Ryan Avery, the comedian, musician, artist, doodler and all around art scene cheerleader was at the Trunk Space earlier this month. While he was wearing something a little different then, we had to get the lowdown on his current outfit.

So, what are you wearing? I am wearing my elegant night time robe with American battle ships on it and i am holding my dog "Mr. Snickers" who is wearing a pink sparkle collar.

What's the last item of clothing you bought? Button suspenders from Hollywood Regency, and Kirkland-brand white underpants from Costco. What is the item of clothing you most covet at the moment? I currently covet my grey/blue/black argyle cardigan i got last winter. i never get to wear it out these days since it is so hot, so i just sleep with it every night.

Give us a childhood memory of you and clothes: When i was a child, I didnt have many of my own clothes. So I would steal my older brother's clothes and I would wear clothes that were way too big for me. Many people believe this is what actually stunted my growth and gave me hypopituitarism.

Name five items every man should have in his closet: A loaded weapon, braces, a derby hat, sock garters and a shiny pair of penny loafers.

Name an item of clothing that's best when it's vintage: I would say the most underestimated thing you can purchase vintage is protective gear such as a jock strap or a helmet, because they really just don't make 'em like they use to.

Name an item of clothing you should NEVER buy used: You should never buy anything if its covered in mites of any kind. Mites are the biggest pests in the world I would say. Worse than cockroaches and spiders. They are so tiny and itchy and they can get into everything, clothes, electronics, plants, furniture ... What is your one piece of fashion advice for Phoenix? My fashion advice for the people of phoenix is mostly directed towards the young men i see riding their skateboards around town: Don't wear a ski cap when temperatures reach such high levels of heat. It's bad for your health. I understand you look cute with the ski cap halfway on your head with a little bit of hair in the front sticking out. I do that too, but only in the winter. I understand the need we sometimes feel to look our best no matter the weather; I think this is a good thing. But heat stroke is a very serious thing, so I sincerely wish that you would refrain from it.
