Looking for something to do this week? "Night Owl" is a quick guide to special nights at bars and clubs around town. We'll give you a few hints re: cover, dress code, music and atmosphere.  Time Out Lounge in Tempe features free pool and drink specials on Sunday Nights.

Time Out Lounge is an oldie but a goodie in our eyes. Going to the neighborhood bar is like going home for the holidays: It's warm, comfortable, and the perfect place to wind down.

Sunday nights are popular for pool aficionados, where it's free to play on one of the four tables all day and night. This end-of-the-weekend ritual has been going on since the '80s and has earned a loyal following. Grab your buddies and get down with some billiards after the jump...

The Time: All day, every Sunday.

The Place: 3129 S. Mill Ave., Tempe.
The Cover: Free.

crowd is mostly guys hanging out with friends to grab a drink and play some pool. It gets busiest around 11 p.m., with the peak hours from 9 to midnight.

The Fashion:
Time Out is one of those "come as you are" type of places, so don't sweat the wardrobe. Jeans and a T-shirt will do just fine.

What we loved:
The staff at Time Out is friendly and even gives 2 for 1 drink cards to loyal guests. Lucie Sparks, the redhead behind the bar, also gives out weekend passwords on Facebook if you want in on a few of the of the deals.

What we didn't love:
You know how music can make or break a romantic dinner, a party or a road trip? Well, the same goes for bars, and when one guy comes in and hogs the jukebox with throbbing screamo crap, it kinda ruins the fun for the rest of the bar.

It's not something that happens too often at Time Out, but it just takes one.

Would we go back?: Yep.
