Abelardo Gil is the dude behind the one-man local music/art/motivational speaker project called Treasure Mammal.
One of our favorite things about T-Mammal is the get-up. Gil has no fear when it comes to his on-stage fashion. Spandex is the cornerstone of his wardrobe, sequins are his best friend (or, BFF, rather), and this man is not afraid to show some sweet, sweet bulge.

I am wearing a hamburger costume with an American flag skullcap and some BluBlocker shades.
What is the last item of clothing you bought?
A tee shirt with a sweet dream catcher on it purchased from Love's truck stop.
What is the item of clothing you most covet at the moment?
My navy blue pleather jacket.
Give us a childhood memory of you and clothes:
I
went to a Catholic school in Los Angeles by the name of St. Timothy's
and we had to wear uniforms. So, the only way we could express ourselves
at that time was to have some cool shoes. I had a pair of Bo Jackson
Nike shoes and a pair of British Knights. The initials on these shoes
spelled "BK" and were also called "blood killers" from the Bloods and Crips feud.
Name five items every man should have in his closet:
Spandex, nutters (short shorts), a garden hose, gemagic, and dignity.
Name an item of clothing that's best when it's vintage:
Blue
jeans of course! Especially those vintage Levis with the big "E" that
go for thousands on ebay. Where are my Ebay powersellers at?!
Name an item of clothing you should NEVER buy used:
Briefs. You just never know.

Wear confidence. It bedazzles your perception of everyday life.
