Phoenix's favorite undead dance company, Scorpius Dance Theater, returns this week for the ninth season of Lisa Starry's A Vampire Tale.
What has now become a local tradition, A Vampire's Tale is often referred to as the "Nutcracker of Halloween." This dark and seductive performance assembles a cast of 25 professional dancers, some of whom started with Starry early in their careers, and attracts a wide audience of vampire lovers, Halloween worshipers, and contemporary dance enthusiasts.

A Vampire Tale is in a constant state of subtle evolution, and according to Lisa Starry, this year promises to be no exception. "Each year is a little different and this year we've added more aerial performance and new music."
The show will play at Phoenix Little Theater from October 11 to November 3 with tickets starting at $35 (plus box office fees).
