I do this every month: the week before a First Friday, I plan to pimp the ever living out of it on this blog and I never do.
That's because, inevitably, things like this come along...
The Paper Studio is closing its doors and is trying to sell all of its fabulous art/paper supplies by May 2nd.
Now, before you start hyperventilating all over the place, just keep reading. That's right, put the paper bag down. It's just the retail store portion of the business that is shutting down. The Paper Studio will still offer classes.
Four years ago, Cindy and Gary Iverson launched The Paper Studio as a teaching studio and gallery with a small shop to provide the needed class supplies. Since then, the retail portion of the business grew and became the Studio's focus. Cindy and Gary have decided to get back to basics and return to what they originally intended to do with their studio.
They'll reopen this summer to offer classes such as:
Green Papermaking, Experimental & Traditional Letterpress Printing, Innovative Bookbinding, Alternative Photography, Inventive Mixed Media, and providing a Collaborative Meeting Space.
They plan to bring the best local artists and national instructors to teach classes so stay tuned if this kind of thing is up your alley.
And, lend them a hand by helping clear out their inventory from now until May 2nd with their close-out sale.
Items on sale include: books, ribbon, scrapbook items, Graphic 45, Sassafrass, Basic Grey & 7 gypsies, Zutter products, embellishments, rubber/clear stamps & inks, glitter & stickles, selected decorative papers, paints, pens, markers, greeting cards...you get the idea.
