DJs William "Fudging" Reed and Sean Watson have a new shin-dig scheduled for Sundays on the rooftop of the Clarendon Hotel in downtown Phoenix. The weekly party is called Hot Fudge Sundaze and runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public -- even, the press release says, kids. Are all those crazy hipsters from the classic party photos documenting Shake! at The Rouge (pics like this, this and this) really procreating already?!
The event features a bar menu by Gallo Blanco as well as heaters and blankets for cold nights like the ones we've been having this week. The music is "a funky blend of lounge, downtempo, soul, funk, dub, reggae, indie electro pop and ambient electronica."
This is, Reed points out, the only current, regular rooftop party in Phoenix. And it also has the potential to be one of the biggest, since the Clarendon has installed a new stairwell that triples the space's occupancy limit.
