Local boys St. Ranger were featured today on My Old Kentucky Blog, a national indie-blog that is part of the Blog Radio program on Sirius Radio's XMU channel.

The blog focused on their jam "Ohnowoe," comparing the band to Grizzly Bear and Animal Collective, though I hear the former a lot more than the latter.

The song's video was also featured. The clip, directed by Christian Michael Filardo (he of Holy Page Records and Good Amount, who we reviewed last week), is a washed-out, soft focus kind-of-deal, which perfectly matches the languid feel of the song.

The band has a whole mess of gigs coming up, including one this Monday, May 23, with White Denim at the Sail Inn.

You can download "Ohnowoe" and the fidgety, proggy "Shark Week" (my vote for the band's best tune) from the band's BandCamp page for free or whatever price you feel like paying.
