Phoenix's alt-rock station, The Edge, appears to be headed for big changes. The station has been running without DJs since Friday, its Web site is down (replaced with a wimpy survey) and message boards are reporting that its corporate parent has been taken over by creditors.

The Web site for Riviera Broadcast Group, which bought the station along with Phoenix hip-hop outlet Power 98.3 FM in 2006, is down and replaced with a GoDaddy parking page. Also worth mentioning: The station's Twitter is down, as is its contact info pages.

The station's new logo appears to have lost its "edge," playing up the frequency and playing down the name. Pearl Jam, Jane's Addiction and Green Day are still in rotation, though -- in fact, I just heard songs by each of them.

There have been no changes to Power 98.3 that we're aware of (thank God Karlie Hustle is still on the air!) but we expect there may be. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.
