Los Dias de la Crescent is hitting Civic Space Park and, later in the evening, Crescent Ballroom this Saturday, November 15. The free all-day music festival is jamming 17 local acts into one day this year and reserving the second day's festivities for a bike-in movie showing of Raising Arizona. While there will be a lot of familiar faces like Dry River Yacht Club and Bogan Via at the event, here are the five acts you have to see if you plan on attending the celebration of local music.

Sincerely Collins & Miny Playing: 4:45 p.m. at Civic Space Park Local rapper Sincerely Collins will join forces with Miny to showcase Phoenix's hip-hop scene in the primarily rock 'n' roll festival. Despite being young and relatively new on the scene, Collins already is making waves with his witty lyrics that analyze and criticize mainstream hip-hop, like in "Stupid Shit." It's hard to not agree with the highly sarcastic line "Gonna say some stupid shit, dumb it down, it's probably gonna be a super-hit."
Los Sociales Playing: 3:10 p.m. at Civic Space Park This Guadalupe-based band is the first Tejano act to be included in the Los Dias de la Crescent festival. Totally danceable and full of accordion jams, Los Sociales' songs are fun to listen to, even if you don't speak Spanish.
¡Caray! Playing: 3:40 p.m. at Civic Space Park The Nogales-based Afro-Cubano act will be the antidote to any bad vibes you might have when you're pondering if you should elbow your way to the front during Black Carl. Just sit back, relax, maybe dance a bit, and sip a Honey Badger or two while ¡Caray! performs. Then you can decide late if you need to be that close to Emma Pew.
Gabriel Sullivan Playing: 9:15 p.m. at Crescent Ballroom Tucson's Gabriel Sullivan might be going for a more stripped-down sound recently, taking away the horns section and percussion on his new album, but that doesn't really take away from the complexity and emotion behind the singer-songwriter's tunes. However, when the full band is in action backing Sullivan up, what you get is an explosively fun rock-cumbia act that blends perfectly with his smoky, grizzled vocals.
Hasty Escape Playing: 2:10 p.m. at Civic Space Park With nearly two years on the Phoenix scene, Hasty Escape has managed to keep their music on the d-l. However, we see that changing pretty quickly once the funky Americana act hits the Los Dias de la Crescent stage. With a new album to be released later this month, catch this act before everyone else is talking about them.
Los Dias de la Crescent will be taking over Civic Space Park for the free local music festival on Saturday, November 15 from 1:30 until 9:30 p.m. Crescent Ballroom will also be hosting the festival from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m. For more information, visit the Crescent Ballroom website.
