When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play right now? I drive a scooter! (You know, the orange one with the green, fuzzy seat.) So no driving stations for me.

What's the first album you bought? I'm pretty sure it was Jagged Little Pill (by Alanis Morissette.) I was in middle school.

What's the first concert you saw? No clue! My parents took me to a bunch of symphony concerts and musicals when I was little. So let's stick with that. I have season tickets to the Phoenix Symphony this year, so I guess their methods worked. I go to a lot of rock/pop concerts now, but I have no idea what would have been my first.

What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? You know, I'm going to have to say the 6-hour "marathon" concert at the end of the Bang on a Can Summer Festival. It's 6 hours of some of the most badass musicians performing unnatural and beautiful feats. They have another concert that is 12 hours that I hope to attend someday. My favorite concerts in Phoenix recently were Dan Deacon and then the Me Vale Madre/AU/Zammuto concert. Awesome.

What's the last song played on your music player? I use the Soundcloud App on my phone a lot, and the last song I listened to was probably DJ Wav4rm's "Halloween Hour (part 2)" or Michael Laurello's "Tell hope everything you hear..."

Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? Digital, when possible, not mp3's. I would love to have vinyl, but I don't have the funds to buy/maintain a nice record player. If you have vinyl, you have to respect it.

What's your favorite album? Don't make my head explode. Next question. I could never choose, but The Books Lost and Safe and Deerhoof's Break Up Song have been on repeat for a few weeks straight.

Who is your favorite singer or band? Equally as difficult to answer! Favorite singer? I'm obsessed with the voice of lead singer Hayden Thorpe of Wild Beasts. We'll have to go with that.

Does you computer track how many times you've played something -- if so, what's at the top of the list? Eve Beglarian's, "Landscaping for Privacy."

What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from the past year? Camp, from Childish Gambino.

What band do you wish was still together? A lot of the bands I like are still together. There are certainly a lot of people I wish were still alive and creating music. Jeff Buckley and Frank Zappa come to mind immediately.

What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience? I know this sounds odd, but I've settled on John Adam's "Road Movies". It's for violin and piano. No words, so it eliminates language barriers, and the violin is such a common insturment all around the world, I think more people will be able to relate.

Who is your favorite local artist? I was very impressed by Me Vale Madre. They are my newest favorite in a large rotation of local favorites.

What is your favorite local venue to see music? The Crescent Ballroom. I can walk to it. I've even brought my dog on more than one occasion. It's awesome.

What is your favorite music video? Ramona Falls, "I Say Fever."
