Oh, Labor Day weekend. Don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for it.
There's plenty of stuff going on this weekend, and we've tried to cover the gamut. Tonight you can catch Sade at US Airwaves and Gucci Mane at Celebrity Theatre, tomorrow brings Neon Trees, Peachcake, and iamwe at the Marquee, and Sunday promises the Zog Tiki Party at Rhythm Room on Sunday.
Here are five more cool events to keep you busy this Labor Day weekend.
Friday:
Venue 104 hosts it opening -- ahem, second opening night -- celebration with rock 'n' roll from Muddy Money, Sareena Dominguez, and Western Medicine.
Def Leppard (best song: "Bringing on the Heartbreak,") and Heart (Best Song: "Crazy on You") will keep classic rock fans happy at Ashley Furniture HomeStore Pavilion.
Saturday:
It's the last Splash Pool Party (cue up The Breeders) at Lexington Hotel, with a strange mix of music from Minibosses Sweet Bleeders, and Hot Birds & The Chili Sauce (the band I most want to record an album in Phoenix).
Sunday:
Brad B. puts down some hip-hop at Club Red.
Monday:
Blue Oyster Cult visit Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino.
Enjoy this clip of "Burning For You," and enjoy your hot-as-balls weekend, everyone.
