So it seems that The Who singer Roger Daltrey made a statement to the BBC recently that he would be interested in working with former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page on a new album. He may be putting the proverbial cart in front of the horse, though, as this is all based on whether or not Pete Townshend is forced to call it quits early because of his severe tinnitus, a ringing in the ears that is usually accompanied by hearing loss. Daltrey said, "I'm a great blues singer. I don't sing the blues with The Who, but that's what I used to be before Townshend started writing. I used to be a great blues singer."

If his performance at this year's Super Bowl is any indication of where the singer is at, we may be in trouble. Let's hope he gets it together. And, really, it's pretty shitty to plan for the retirement of your bandmate because of a health condition and make a public statement about it before that bandmate has said anything official. Jimmy Page hasn't said anything yet, either.
