The vibe will be more Courtney Love than CW fare, as Momsen is known to wear lingerie in public, be generously messy with eyeliner and get naked in music videos -- not to mention, she has an affinity for growling, snarling and rocking the eff out on-stage, including daring takes on rock 'n' roll standards by bands like The White Stripes.
And with The Pretty Reckless scoring an opening slot for Marilyn Manson's latest tour, you can bet the group isn't prep school material, with angry songs about ex- boyfriends and betrayal mixed in with a cheeky track that involves turning on a priest -- though the alternative rock band does have its share of delicately pretty moments during its acoustic performances.
Momsen's been doing quite well post-GG, with her band recently dropping their third release in less than 2 years, the five-song EP, Hit Me Like a Man. Now that's one title that definitely sounds more drama-filled than a teenage soap opera.
The Pretty Reckless are scheduled to perform Saturday, March 10, at Martini Ranch in Scottsdale.
