After getting chummy at the 2009 Video Music Awards, Beyoncé
and Taylor Swift will go head-to-head once again at the 2010 Grammy Awards, when they compete in several categories, including Album of the Year. Swift, beware--Kanye West will be in the audience, picking up six nominations himself.
The Album of the Year category is, for the first time in awhile, dominated by pop. Nominees include Lady Gaga and a surprising Black Eyed Peas (who come to Phoenix in March), with Dave Matthews Band bringing a pop rock side to the mix.
Beyoncé's nominated for 10 awards, including Record of the Year ("Halo") and Song of the Year ("Single Ladies [Put a Ring on It]"), while Swift garnered eight nods, including Record of the Year for "You Belong with Me."
Britney Spears proves she's getting back on track with a nomination for Best Dance Recording for "Womanizer," while the iPod beloved The Ting Tings got a Best New Artist nod, along with indie acts MGMT and Silversun Pickups.
