Timothy Blazer's hand was cut off last week while he was working on some shelves at his home in Glendale. The saw was on top of some shelves he was working, when it fell off, severing his hand...A young girl was thrown from the van carrying her and her family on the I-10 Wednesday night. The family of seven was coming from California to visit relatives for Thanksgiving, when the van flipped and the girl was ejected. DPS officers say that aside from a seriously broken arm, the girl and the rest of the family
were going to make full recoveries...Homemade bombs were found in residence halls at Northern Arizona University Wednesday morning. University officials say the bombs were found in and around the Mountain View residence halls and were full of hydrochloric acid and aluminum foil. One university police officer was taken to the hospital after breathing in some of the fumes coming from the devices... A former teacher at a Surprise charter school was sentenced to eight years in prison for receipt of child pornography. Victor McPeak will serve his sentence concurrently with a 10-year sentence he is currently serving for sexual exploitation of a minor. McPeak was found guilty of inappropriately touching two girls while teaching at the Arizona Charter Academy in March 2008.
