If you just spit out your coffee, you can thank the Arizona Republic, which recently suggested the aforementioned absurd prophecy in one of its "Political Insider" posts.

"[Brewer] is also being touted as a featured speaker at a Republican women's conference in mid-November in Washington, D.C., along with other GOP heavy hitters Sarah Palin, Condoleezza Rice and Michele Bachmann.

Brewer is using her speaking circuit to continue her crusade against illegal immigration and lash out at the Obama administration, among other things. So while it may sound far-fetched, maybe it isn't a surprise some political blogs have started throwing her name around as a possible vice-presidential candidate."

We're not even going to bother editorializing about why this can never happen, or how if it did, we'd be on the first train to Canada.

We'll leave it up to you to decide: could Jan Brewer really be a possible vice-presidential candidate?
