Police discovered and shut down an auto chop shop operating in a west Phoenix home. A spokesman for the Department of Public Safety says officers served a search warrant on a home near Sweetwater Road and 33rd Avenue, and found vehicle parts for resale. One man was arrested and charged with several felonies...Less than a week after his fundraiser concert for a local church was canceled, rapper DMX is back in jail. He was booked Tuesday night for violating his probation by using drugs. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said he'd like to see DMX (real name: Earl Simmons) sentenced to some "big time"...A water main broke near the 202 freeway and Alma School Road in Mesa. A spokesman for the city says there are four separate water main breaks in the area, and McClellan is restricted in the westbound direction. Crews are assessing how many homes are affected by the breaks, which may take several hours to repair...


A handcuffed suspect escaped from Scottsdale police on Tuesday afternoon. The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation, but fled and is still on the loose. Police say he left his female passenger behind and they expect to catch up with him soon...A man was shot in the arm during an argument at a Mesa orange orchard. Police say two transients got into a fight in the orchard near Main and Val Vista, and one man shot the other. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries...The Halle Center for Family Justice at ASU will be funded by a $1 million grant from the Bruce T. Halle Family Foundation. Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor made the announcement Tuesday, praising the new domestic violence center and announcing an additional $1 million grant to launch the NextCare Urgent Care Family Violence Legal Clinic within the Halle Center.
