Sadie Johnson told the cops she didn't like babysitting her sisters -- ages 1, 2, and 4 -- a job she often had to do when her mother was going out with her boyfriend.
Johnson, then 17, finally got out of it -- after she was arrested for binding and gagging her two younger siblings, and leaving all three in their trailer home in Guadalupe, which she proceeded to set on fire.
Johnson, now 18, is going to prison for that.
Johnson was sentenced today to 10 years in prison and a lifetime of probation for her convictions on child-abuse charges.
Firefighters were called to the trailer on June 22, 2011, and found Johnson outside, but Johnson told firefighters the youngsters were still inside.
The kids were rescued, as Johnson's 4-year-old sister was found in the rear bedroom of the house, and the other two sisters were found in a hallway bathroom -- bound with masking tape and gagged.
The cops had a question or two for Johnson about that, and Johnson pulled out the excuses.
She said she fell asleep, and woke up to the sound of a gun cocking, and saw a man holding a gun to the 4-year-old's head. Johnson proceeded to claim she was knocked out by one of the men, but came to when the place was on fire.
Then she said she left the trailer, then went back in to rescue her siblings, then managed to make it back outside before blacking out from the smoke.
Johnson went on to say she woke up again, and tried to put out the fire with a garden hose.
The cops, believe it or not, were not buying any of that.
Johnson eventually told police her mother, Crystal Dixon, wasn't "giving her enough attention," and she bound her siblings and lit the trailer on fire because of it.
