Today in Found at the Border: For the second time in two weeks, a Mexican national was busted trying to smuggle weed into the United States by hiding the product in jalapeños.
Whereas the Mexican national who attempted to bring more than 3,300 pounds of weed on May 27 stuffed the pot inside cans of jalapeños, the 27-year-old gentleman who tried to bring his haul into the country on Friday opted for the fresh variety.

The man driving the tractor-trailer through the Port of Nogales Commercial Facility had more then 2,300 pounds of weed in his haul of jalapeños, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
As usual, the drug-sniffing dog did him in, and as we've documented on this blog many, many times, the dogs don't seem to be confused by fruits and vegetables.
The truck, peppers, and pot were all seized.
The driver, whose name wasn't released, was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
