Governor Jan Brewer was in Washington this week to defend the controversial immigration law known as SB 1070 -- or as Brewer called it, a trip to "defend our state against President Obama, Eric Holder and the Justice Department."
Brewer's been taking full advantage of 1070's date with the Supreme Court, as she met with an orange man House Speaker John Boehner, solicited $10.70 donations to her political-action committee, and used several opportunities to remind everyone how awful she believes President Obama is.
For this, we salute the governor with an appearance in this week's New Times You Write the Caption contest -- without her pointing her finger at anything.
The rules for You Write the Caption are simple: We provide the picture (above), and you provide the caption to that photo in the comments below.
On
Monday, we'll announce the top-five reader captions and put them to a
vote. The winner will receive a pay-your-own-way trip to the historic New Times building for a firm handshake and/or a high-five.
Do your best (or worst), New Times readers.
For anyone curious, the photo's from the Arizona Republican Party election night fiesta at the Hyatt Regency in Phoenix on November 2, 2010.
