As we reported yesterday, Arizona Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin was fired. Now, it looks almost certain his replacement will be Director of Player Development, A.J. Hinch. An official announcement will be made today at a 3 p.m. press conference...Mesa police arrested four illegal immigrants and confiscated 16 pounds of meth on Wednesday, in what's being called the largest meth bust in Mesa's history. Police were acting on a tip from a concerned citizen when they made the raid, which also turned up $31,000 in cash...An MSCO detention officer was arrested Thursday in a prostitution sting. The officer, Jillian Lybarger, has been with the MSCO for about a year, and has been placed on administrative leave...A young bear that wandered through a neighborhood in Kingman, Arizona, banging on home doors, was shot and killed by police officers on Thursday. The officers say they shot the bear to keep the neighborhood safe...Police are investigating a shooting at Pink Cabaret in Glendale early Friday morning.
