Unlike the rest of us, Arizona Congressman Ben Quayle can rest easy -- Texas tough guy Chuck Norris doesn't want to kick his ass. In fact, the played-out punchline of endless jokes is diggin' him some Ben Quayle.
The man who will "never have a heart attack because his heart isn't foolish enough to attack him" apparently considers himself an authority on border violence, and recently penned an article for the website Townhall.com, in which he touts the freshman Arizona congressman's assessment of Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano's take on border violence.

I agree with Rep. Ben Quayle, R-Ariz., who said that for cattle ranchers, the daily reality of drug and human smugglers traversing their property is "far more impacting" than Napolitano conveys. Quayle went on to say, "Statistics and averages might mean something to government bureaucrats and analysts in Washington, but try telling the people who deal with these realities every day that the violence along the border has subsided.
The Delta Force star is referring to an op-ed Quayle wrote that appeared in the Arizona Republic earlier this month.

Quayle's piece points out nothing new. It's a fairly obvious critique of Napolitano's take on border violence that's been echoed by Republicans from Phoenix to Philadelphia -- and that's about as critical as we feel comfortable being now that we know Chuck Norris has Quayle's back.
