Wing Eating Contest at The Wing Counter

The Wing Counter in Glendale will host a wing-eating competition this Saturday at 1 p.m. For a $25 entrance fee, participants will have the opportunity to compete for first-, second-, and third-place prizes, which include one year of free wings, one month of free wings, and one dozen wings free, respectively. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Blue Line K9 Foundation. You can sing up for the wing competition in person at the restaurant, or by e-mailing [email protected].


Holiday Light Run & Food Truck Caravan in Old Town Scottsdale

Get over to Old Town Scottsdale on Saturday at 6 p.m. to participate in a free 5-mile walk/run event that ends at the Food Truck Caravan in Old Town Scottsdale, where attendees can enjoy treats from a rotating fleet of food trucks. Participants may bring their own beer and wine to the event, but are asked to keep it in discreet containers. Non-runners will be able to start enjoying the Food Truck Caravan as early as 6:30 p.m., and by 9:30, the party will be moved to a nearby watering hole.
