The wait is almost over, people. Next month you'll finally be able to see Durant's Never Closes, the feature-length film produced and directed by local filmmaker Travis Mills and starring none other than Tom Sizemore as legendary local restaurant owner Jack Durant, and you'll be able to see it on the big screen.

The movie's world premiere is Thursday, January 21 at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel and is set for release on Friday, January 22 at Harkins Shea 14 in Scottsdale. Tickets to the premiere are on sale now online for $10 each, and tickets to the movie's run at Harkins Shea 14 will go on sale in January.

As we've told you, the film concerns a single day in the life of Jack Durant, who owned Phoenix's Durant's steakhouse and died in 1987. Notorious for leaving his house and an annual allowance of $50,000 to his pet English bulldog, Humble, Durant was a legendary ladies man who may or may not have been connected to the mob and was briefly, in the 1950s, one of the FBI's Top Ten Most Dangerous Men in Arizona.

The movie, which was filmed entirely in Arizona, stars actor Tom Sizemore (Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan) as Durant. Director and producer Peter Bogdanovich (Last Picture Show, Paper Moon) plays a supporting role, and Michelle Stafford (The Young and the Restless, General Hospital) plays Durant's ex-wife. Director and producer Travis Mills, who went to film school at ASU, started Running Wild Films in 2010 with a " vision to build a sustainable film movement in Phoenix" and create films about the city.

He's currently in pre-production on a new film about the Don Bolles murder and conspiracy, titled Valley of Shadows.
