Eklectic Pie's Launches New Pizza with a Luau

Mesa's Eklectic Pie is debuting a new pizza and is celebrating the occaison with a luau. From 5 to 8 p.m., you can enjoy The Royal Canadian Luau pie, topped with mozzarella cheese, Canadian bacon, pineapple, and finished with Parmesan cheese. You can buy this pie or any of Eklectic's other 11-inch offerings and beverages including wine or beer for just $8. Provisioner Wine Rose Release Party
Tuesday, January 7 from 6 to 11 p.m. 

Arizona-made Provisioner Wines will be throwing a release party celebrating its new rose on Tuesday. Head over to Monorchid on Roosevelt to enjoy a whole roasted hog, wine tastings, live music, and mechanical bull rides. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online. National Tempura Day at Stingray Sushi

These days even your favorite battered and fried Japanese dish gets its very own holiday: January 7, a.k.a. National Tempura Day. Stingray Sushi's three locations — Chandler, Scottsdale Quarter, and Biltmore Fashion Park — will be celebrating with a special tempura platter. The $19 tempura feast feautres two pieces of King crab, two pieces of shrimp and 10 pieces of assorted seasonal vegetables that all have been dipped and fried in this traditional Japanese batter. Arizona Vegetarian Food Festival
Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Over two days at the Arizona Vegetarian Food Festival, you can expect to hear from several speakers and check out vendors dedicated to serving and educating the public about vegan cuisine. Speakers include Jason Wyrick, Executive Chef of The Vegan Taste, which delivers vegan organic meals across Arizona, and Ellen Jaffe Jones, author of Eat Vegan on $4 a Day. A single day ticket to the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., costs $20 in advance and $25 at the door. A VIP ticket costs $50 and $60 at the door. On Saturday the experts at Tempe's Infusion Coffee & Tea will host a class designed to teach you how to make the perfect cup of coffee at home. For two hours, the staff will take questions and teach you how to properly use a French press or teach you the perfect pour over method.
