Looking for the next gem to add to your fine wine collection? Then you might want to snag a ticket for J. Levine Auction & Appraisal's Fostering Hope: A Fine Wine Auction on Saturday, February 13, in Scottsdale. During the event, rare, prized bottles of wine will be auctioned off to support the nonprofit Opportunity, Community & Justice for Kids, a local group that helps connect at-risk children in need of resources.

Best of all, bids will start at $50 in order to make some of the rare bottles accessible to a wide range of buyers.

British celebrity auctioneer Lindsey Alexa Gundersen will help call bids at the event, which will be held at the J. Levine auction house. Bottles set to appear on the block include a 1967 Chateau d'quem Lur-Saluces Sauternes, estimated at $1,500; a Chateau Puy Bardens Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux 1995; and a bottle of 25-year-old Glenlivet Royal Wedding Reserve, bottled for the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer in 1981. The bottle is number 742 out of the 1,000 produced.

There will be 150 individual and group lots available in all. Wine enthusiasts will be especially eager to get their hands on a vintage from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in Napa Valley — the vineyard that changed the world's perception of American wines during the 1976 Paris Blind Tasting. Other American standouts include the "ultra-premium" Opus One.

Auction attendees will be able to sample hors d'oeuvres, chocolates, and participate in wine tastings and mixing demonstrations before the auction begins at 7 p.m.

The event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $100 in advance or $125 at the door. J. Levine's auction house is located at 10345 North Scottsdale Road. For more information, check the J. Levine website
