Tempe’s fast-casual concept Hummus Xpress has some new wheels and is just about ready to hit the road.

Hummus Xpress owner Eddie Hantas told New Times in a recent phone call that he expects the food truck to be ready by “the last two weeks of April.”

Once the truck is ready to go, Hummus Xpress aims to be an active member of the Valley’s food truck scene.

“The truck will be basically doing all the truck coalitions around town,” says Hantas, including appearances at Phoenix Public Market. In addition, HX’s future plans include catering private events as well as providing on-site lunch for some of the Valley's larger employers.

The truck is emblazoned with HX's mantra, "You'll love it any way you have it," alluding to the restaurant's customization-friendly ordering style; customers can choose from a bowl or pita, several different proteins, six different hummus flavors, and a plethora of leafy greens to create their own fast, healthy dish. Hantas also plans to have some exclusive items on the truck that are not available at the restaurant.

To receive truck updates, see the schedule, or view the menu, visit the Hummus Xpress website, or follow the restaurant on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
