With more than a dozen fresh shows on view in the hubs of Roosevelt Row, Grand Avenue, and Central Corridor, June's First Friday holds plenty of promise for those who like to see a lot of art in a single outing.

Here’s a look at several free shows you can explore on Friday, June 2. We’ve got details on the “Heart of a Dragon” exhibition and auction happening at {9} The Gallery, where all art sold benefits gallerist Laura Dragon, who recently shared her diagnosis of stage-four lung cancer. And word to the wise: Keep your eyes open while you're out and about on Friday, since several new murals have gone up since the start of May.

“Baggage”

Rachel Goodwin premiered her “Baggage” exhibition at ASU's Step Gallery earlier this year, and now she’s adapted it for a far smaller exhibition space inside a shipping container gallery in Roosevelt Row. First Friday hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Learn more at the Rhetorical Galleries Facebook page.
